Founded in 1964, the W. H. Patterson Gallery has been at 19 Albemarle Street since that date. Originally specialising in 19th Century English and Continental paintings, over the past fifteen years the gallery has increasingly been exhibiting leading English contemporary painters. 

We are absolutely delighted to bring this exceptional collection of paintings by Kenneth and Susan Webb to you all.  It has long been a goal of ours to present Kenneth's powerful, colourful and inspirational paintings to our clients here in London and we are thrilled to have been able to include his daughter Susan's evocative equestrian paintings in this, our inaurgural show of their work.

Kenneth's soft impressionist paintings artfully capture the wonder and unspoilt beauty of his beloved Connemara, and it is predominantly from here that he derives his inspiration.  The vibrant rainbow of colours and hues that Kenneth sees in the landscape and gardens of Connemara, which he combines with a strength of texture and the fragility of the flowers allows him to produce utterly unique and sophisticated paintings.  Unequalled in his passion and at the top of his game, these paintings are a testament to a life spent exploring the bounds of colour and to Kenneth's unmistakable vision.

Susan's strong and passionate equestrian paintings beautifully capture the very essence of these wonderful intelligent animals.  Gaining much of her inspiration from Munnings and Stubbs, and from her upbringing imbued with strong sporting traditions, Susan has a connectivity with her subject matter which shines through in her charismatic and carefully crafted paintings.  It is without question that Susan's abilities will continue to see her established as one of the finest equestian artists of her generation.
